What to Expect

I take more time at the initial evaluation than the typical prescriber.

I believe it’s beneficial to collect all of the information to obtain the most complete “picture” of the patient’s case. Asking more questions, some not typically asked, means I have all the information to make a proper diagnosis.

This session covers

Your recent symptoms and corresponding life stressors, past psychiatric history including hospitalizations and outpatient care, drug and alcohol history and current use patterns, support, and psychosocial history including childhood, education, and occupational history.

I end the visit with treatment options.

Based on the main issue or diagnosis, I present options we can consider so you can be active in your own care.
